New Siding Installation in Babylon
AT A GLANCE
| Project Type | New Siding Installation |
| City/Town | Babylon |
| Completion Date | June 2026 |
BRIEF DESCRIPTION
This Babylon home was updated by replacing its aging cedar siding with a new exterior designed to retain the character of cedar shake while providing the lower-maintenance benefits of modern siding. A special-order color was selected for the project, and the renovation extended to both the home and shed for a consistent finished appearance.
SCOPE OF WORK
The existing siding was removed down to the original sheathing, with water-damaged plywood repaired as needed before new synthetic house wrap and fanfold insulation were installed. The home and shed were finished with Royal Portsmouth S7 Cedar Shake Impressions siding. The project also included PVC window and crown trim, replacement of damaged exterior wood trim, aluminum capping, new soffit, fascia finishing, corner posts, J-channels, vents and other siding accessories.
